I dreamed I was in a fog and in the fog I saw an unusual little creature as I came closer to it; it became more familiar but odd. It was a turtle but the odd part about it is that it had no head and it was wandering around running into everything. It had scars all along its hard shell from running into various objects. It would run into something like a tree are a rock and be pushing trying to keep going then eventually he would stop and back up a step or two then go around it until it ran into some other object and the process would start over again. I thought this very strange I walked up to the turtle and picked it up and examined it and sure enough the turtle shell on the front was completely sealed shut to opening at all for a head to pop out I placed it back down on the earth and off he went bashing into everything in its path wandering around aimlessly. I watched in amusement for awhile then went about my own business but from time to time kept contemplating the matter of the headless turtle and its meaning. Not too far off in the distance I came upon an old man sitting on a old wooden spool smoking tobacco the closer I approached him I recognized him as my own great grandfather. I ran to him as he had made his journey many years passed. I sat at his feet and said pawpaw (as that is what I used to call him) how are you after all these years? He said fine as he called me by name. Funny thing I would go over to his house and he would sit on this old wooden spool and smoke tobacco and tell me stories when I was a little boy. Now here we where again, do you have any stories for me today? I asked him. Sure boy, and he started. Long ago there was a place called turtle island a place all our ancestors had came to many years ago and made their home. They lived mostly happy lives and sometimes they fought one another and they where a divided people and then they would be good and live happy again this went on for many years then one day some new people came as was told to them by one of their elders many years before. They saw the new people with a pale skin similar to some of their passed brothers come and start build odd houses and brought with them odd animals that they did not have to hunt. These pale people grew and grew and pushed them around and eventually took their lands and started a new place gave it a new name America and the United States they made new laws and said everyone had liberty and freedom to do as they wanted as long as they obeyed the laws. These people too liked to fight and they fought many battles on what we called turtle island and also across the waters in strange lands they fought horrific battles. As I sat there I noticed many of the my forest brothers and sisters the animals came and sat and listened to the story the deer, the wolf, the bear, the fox, the eagle, the owl, the otter, the raccoon, and many others pawpaw had a big gathering. He continued, these pale skinned ones became very powerful people among the nations over the earth, but they became very greedy also eventually they became more corrupt than any people that ever lived on the earth. Grandson the turtle you saw that turtle will roam the earth as long as turtle island is acting like that turtle headless roaming aimlessly about getting into everything and not caring what happens to it. Our people need to realize this is the time to unite and be one with all the native nations upon turtle island and work together to free ourselves of the shame the pale skinned people have brought upon our land. Your generations can bring honor back to our land just as our elders long ago predicted we have a royal blood and your generations have been chosen at this time to bring honor to the people. Go forth and teach them the message you know to be true remind them of their ancestors and their covenants our people made with the Creator when he gave us this great turtle island. Then I woke up.

Thanksgiving Gumbo

 Yesterday was not a typical Thanksgiving. My wife had just had gall bladder surgery earlier in the week, then her father had a small stroke and possible TIAs from this past weekend until Tuesday in the AM. That is a long story in it self. So if you notice anyone especially your loved one slurring there speech, stumbling, losing use of a limb, c/o blurred vision, not being able to answer general questions they should know the answers to immediately force them against their will into the car and take them to the ER STAT!!! So anyways I was the cook and for some reason no one wanted a traditional T-Day meal. So cut up the turkey, some venison sausage, First made the roux, chopped up some onion, celery and bell pepper, sauteed with the roux. Then dumped into stock pot and added 4 quarts water brought to boil added the meat. a few more "secret" family seasonings and simmered for 1 hour. As it simmered put on a pot of rice and the night before made a potato salad, a few pies. When all said and done everyone was stuffed and happy. All in all I am thankful for my country and the freedoms that are trying to be taken away from us. I am not thankful for alot of the things that happened to my people as I have said before I am part native american. I learned to make gumbo form my MawMaw and her GGGrandmother was 1/2 Cajun 1/2 Karankawa (a now extinct tribe that lived along the gulf coast from Texas to Louisiana) they where all murdered off and now any of us that claim any blood have no say because they "government" says the tribe no longer exist. My Cherokee/Choctaw ancestors had all their lands stolen and too many died on a forced march to their "new" home. And my Cajun ancestors had been treated bad as well their entire existence that is why they stayed in the swamps figured no one would come their to kick them out. So no I am not Thankful for how they where all treated but I am Thankful how they continued to survive and make something out of the nothing they was given. Because we should never ask a government to give us anything. We should all work to get what we get. And shuldn't be forced to give away what we earned to someone who doesn't even try. But give out of our on hearts if we see it that way. But to help those that need help to get back on there feet and make something anything of there lives. It will be a continuous battle from here on out to try an maintain a symblance of the freedom this country once new. The most freedoms this country ever had before the europeans ever came would be ideal. But I know that will never be seen again. I just remember the story of the two wolves I believe I have posted earlier here. And just try to feed the good wolf so I can be good!

I continue to do the things that I have always done. I myself am a Latter Day Saint and didn't want to vote for Romney but did because I knew we would be in for a ride I don't really want to go on. If the alternative was re elected. But I manned up and voted for him anyway. I tried to get co workers and friends to do the same, some did vote, others didn't. I told them I was ashamed that they allowed Obama to be re elected. Now as I continue to live my life and prepare to for a future that is even though still unforseeable but knowing the consequences of this election, that trouble is brewing on the horizon. I, as a student of history, look as the posted flag above. The original Flag of the Republic of Texas. And I see that there could be hope, although there would definitely be some sort of retaliation from the Federal government. But hope that as my GGGGG adopted uncle Sam Houston "Raven" once said "Texas will again lift its head and stand among the nations. It ought to do so, for no country upon the globe can compare with it in natural advantages." he also stated "Texas has yet to learn submission to any oppression, come from what source it may." And to that I quote the Preamble to the Declaration of Independence,
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.


So to all those who say Texas can't secede, I say this our Founding Fathers wrote it into the Declaration of Independence that we have a right to do so. We are now fighting the very same battles they did. They where considered traitors to the crown. If we oppose the things this tyrant that has just been re elected passes down then we will considered traitors also. Colonel William B. Travis stood in a mission in San Antonio de Bexar and drew a line in the sand when the time came to decide who would sacrifice to buy time For General Sam Houston. I say we should all draw a line in the sand this very day, that when the time comes we have already made our decision. That we will keep a true Republic and not this socialist democracy that our country has turned into. That we start over here in Texas and that Texas will again lift its head and rise among the nations. I know the true patrioitism in every Texicans heart that they will proudly stand, fight and die to keep Texas a FREE REPUBLIC and that we will have our LIBERTY again! And when the time comes we will shout, Not only REMEMBER THE ALAMO!, REMEMBER GOLIAD! but we will add REMEMBER BENGHAZI!,REMEMBER ISRAEL!, WE FIGHT FOR OUR FAMILIES, OUR HOMES, and OUR GOD!

I urge everyone who reads this to pass it along to their friends and family and make a decision now!
